Susan Porcelli and her Liberty Alliance agenda are too extreme for us!

Reproductive Freedom

CACR 2 would have added Constitutional protection for reproductive health choices in NH. (NH is the only State in New England that does NOT have this Constitutional protection which when agreed to by a 3/5 majority would go to the people to vote on).    Although a 193-192 majority voted in favor of this constitutional amendment, it failed the 3/5 majority requirement to pass.  Susan Porcelli voted against the bill.

HB 224 would have repealed the criminal penalties against health care providers under the state’s 24-week abortion ban.  Although the bill passed 205-178. Susan Porcelli voted against it. The Senate voted 14-10 to kill the bill later.

HB 591 would have replaced the current 24-week abortion ban with a much more extreme 6-week abortion ban.  Although the House voted 205-178 to kill the bill, Susan Porcelli voted to keep it alive.

School Vouchers

In the two-year legislative term that just ended, the NH House held roll call votes that tell us where my opponent Susan Porcelli stands on the state’s Education Freedom Account ( (EFA)  program.  Through the EFA program, taxpayer-funded school vouchers are provided to families CHOOSING to send their children to religious or other private schools.  The roll call votes EFA program were on the following  bills:

HB 430 would have restricted the EFA program to students who are entering kindergarten or have attended a NH public school for at least one year.  This would have eliminated taxpayer-funded subsidies for families who never chose to have their students leave a public school for a religious or private school.  On April 6, 2023, the House voted 194-192 to kill the bill with Susan Porcelli voting to kill the bill.

HB 367 increased the family income eligibly requirement under the EFA program from 300% to 350% of the federal poverty level (e.g., from $93,600 to $109,200 for a family of four).  On March 9, 2023, the House voted 187-184 to pass the bill with Susan Porcelli voting in favor of the bill.  Gov. Sununu signed the bill into law later.

HB 1665 would have increased the family income eligibly requirement from 300% to 500% of the federal poverty level (e.g., from $93,600 to $156,000 for a family of four).  On February 8, 2024, the House voted 190-189 to pass the bill with Susan Porcelli voting in favor of the bill.  The bill ultimately died when the House and Senate could not agree on the conference committee version of the bill.

The intent of all of these bills is to undermine our Public Schools.  Susan Porcelli has “earned” an A-  rating from the NH Liberty Alliance. (SEE BELOW)

Gun Laws

HB1711  Requiring Closure of the State Gun Purchase Loophole- Susan Porcelli voted NO.

HB1336  Allows employees to have loaded guns in their locked vehicles at their place of employment (prohibits employers to say no …..what could go wrong?) Susan Porcelli voted YES This bill passed and was signed into law by Governor Sununu.

"Liberty" Candidates
Trying to Turn NH Extremist

At the door of each House and Senate session, NH Liberty Alliance members hand each legislator a list of bills and instruc:ons on how to vote. The Liberty Alliance's goals are:

  • to make each person and family reliant on their own resources

  • to remove state funding, regulation and oversight from everything possible

They support bills that would:

  • remove the state's responsibility to educate children, towns to pick up the tab

  • stop funding food, senior care, and other services to low-income people

  • repeal regulations and oversight of clean air and water, addic:ve drugs, safety, and other founda:ons of a healthy society

Why did a Texas libertarian PAC called Young Americans for Liberty sign up 94 NH candidates to fund? NH is their first tiny target. It's all about the money the billionaires supporting these goals would save. And the control they'd gain if the en:re na:on stopped educating people.
